She hears Ann.

Ann hears her.

It's her house.

It's hers.

They hear Ann.

Ann hears them.

It's their house.

It's theirs.

Личные местоимения (I, you, he, she, it, we, they) - используются в качестве подлежащего в предложении.

  • I love playing soccer.
  • You are my best friend.
  • He is very tall.
  • She likes to read.
  • It is a beautiful day.
  • We are going to the beach.
  • They live in New York.

Объектные местоимения (me, you, him, her, it, us, them) - используются в качестве объекта на который направлено действие.

  • She called me last night.
  • I will help you with your homework.
  • The teacher gave him a book.
  • Tom invited her to the party.
  • The dog followed it home.
  • Our parents took us to the park.
  • The coach spoke to them after the game.

Притяжательные зависимые местоимения (my, your, his, her, its, our, their) - показывают кому принадлежит предмет и ставятся перед существительным.

  • This is my car.
  • Is that your jacket?
  • That is his pen.
  • She lost her keys.
  • The dog wagged its tail.
  • We love our new house.
  • They are enjoying their vacation.

Притяжательные абсолютные местоимения (mine, yours, his, hers, its, ours, theirs) - показывают кому принадлежит предмет и заменяют существительное.

  • This book is mine.
  • That phone is yours.
  • The blue jacket is his.
  • The red bag is hers.
  • The big house is ours.
  • These seats are theirs.

"Its" vs. "It’s"

Its = притяжательное местоимение (The cat licked its paw.)

It’s = "It is" (It’s a beautiful day.)
