Hi, friends! Today, we will learn adjectives to describe personality. Let’s do it through a story. Imagine it’s the first day of school.
A New Class
It’s the first day of school, and Mia is nervous. She doesn’t know anyone in her new class. Mia is shy. That means she feels quiet and nervous around new people. As she enters the classroom, she sees a girl smiling at her.
“Hi, I’m Lisa,” says the girl. Lisa is friendly. Being friendly means you like talking to people and making new friends. Mia feels a bit better.
At lunch, Lisa introduces Mia to Ben. Ben is funny. He tells jokes, and Mia laughs a lot. Funny people make others laugh.
“Do you want to sit with us?” asks Ben.
Mia smiles. She thinks Lisa is very kind. A kind person helps others and is nice. Mia joins them, and they eat together.
After lunch, the teacher gives the class a group project. Mia works with Lisa and Ben. Mia notices that Lisa is hardworking. This means Lisa works a lot and tries her best. Ben is talkative. That means he talks a lot. He tells stories about his dog and his summer holiday.
“Ben, let’s focus on the project,” says Lisa with a laugh. Mia is quiet, but she starts to share her ideas. Lisa says, “Mia, that’s a great idea!”
By the end of the day, Mia feels cheerful. Cheerful people are happy and make others feel good. She is glad to have new friends.
