Структуры:

• Can you + verb? - "Can you help me?"
• Could you + verb? - "Could you open the door, please?"
• Would you mind + verb-ing? - "Would you mind closing the window?"

Неформально, но вежливо (используем с друзьями или семьей):

• "Can you pass me the salt, please?"
• "Can you help me with this?"

Вежливо (используем с незнакомыми людьми или в официальных ситуациях):

• "Could you tell me the time, please?"
• "Could you give me a hand with this bag?"

Очень вежливо (используем в официальной или профессиональной обстановке):

• "Would you mind speaking a little slower?"
• "Would it be possible to borrow your pen?"

Положительные ответы (согласие помочь):

• "Sure, no problem!"
• "Of course, I can do that."
• "Yes, I’d be happy to help."

Негативные ответы (вежливый отказ):

• "I’m sorry, I can’t right now."
• "I’m afraid I’m busy at the moment."
• "I’d love to, but I’m not able to."

"Would you mind helping me with this project?"

• Positive Answer:
  • "No, not at all! I’d be happy to help."
  • "Of course, what do you need?"
• Negative Answer:
  • "I’m sorry, but I’m really busy right now."
  • "Yes, I would mind. I have a lot on my plate at the moment."

"Would you mind turning down the music?"

• Positive Answer:
  • "No, I wouldn’t mind. I’ll turn it down right away."
  • "Sure, no problem!"
• Negative Answer:
  • "Yes, I would mind. I’m listening to something important right now."
  • "I’m sorry, but I’m in the middle of something. Can I do it later?"

At Home

1. "Can you help me clean the kitchen, please?" 

• Positive Answer: "Sure, I’d be happy to help!"
• Negative Answer: "I’m sorry, I’m busy right now."

2. "Could you turn off the lights?"

• "Of course, no problem!"
• "I’m afraid I can’t reach the switch."

At a Restaurant:

1. "Could we have the menu, please?" 

• "Certainly, here you go!"
• "I’m sorry, we’re out of menus at the moment."

2. "Can I have a glass of water, please?" 

• "Sure, I’ll bring it right away."
• "I’m sorry, we’re out of water right now."

At School or Work:

1. "Could you explain that again, please?" 

• "Of course, let me go over it one more time."
• "I’m sorry, I don’t have time right now."

2. "Would you mind sharing your notes with me?" 

• Positive Answer: "Not at all, here you go!"
• Negative Answer: "I’m afraid I need them for my own work right now."

In Public Places:

1. "Could you tell me where the bus stop is?" 

• "Sure, it’s just around the corner." /
• "I’m sorry, I’m not from around here."

2. "Can you help me carry this bag, please?" 

• "Of course, let me take that for you."
• "I’m sorry, I’m in a hurry right now."

On a Bus. 

You are on a bus, and you need to buy a ticket from the driver.
