There are many different animals in the world. Some live with us at home. Others live on a farm, in the forest, in the jungle, in the ocean, or even in your garden.
Let's start with pets. A dog is a friendly animal that barks. A cat is small and soft and says "meow". Some people keep fish in a tank because they live in water. A bird has feathers, wings, and a beak; many birds can fly. A rabbit has long ears and a short tail. A hamster is a very small furry animal often kept in a cage. A guinea pig is a small, round animal with no tail.
